How to Correct a South Station Ticket to a Logan Airport Ticket in MMC
When a customer has purchased a South Station ticket but needs a Logan Airport ticket, agents must correct the transaction in MMC using the customer's account and credit. Do not use the previous Paid In or ticket override workaround.
Steps to Correct the Ticket
- Cancel the incorrect ticket. Cancel the South Station ticket as a customer credit.
- Confirm the credit. Open the customer's Account screen and verify that the cancellation credit has been applied.
- Start a new purchase. Begin the purchase directly from the customer's Account screen.
- Select the correct ticket. Choose the Logan Airport ticket.
- Apply the customer credit. Apply the credit from the canceled South Station ticket toward the new purchase.
- Collect the fare difference. Charge the remaining amount and complete the transaction.
The customer pays only the difference between the original South Station ticket and the correct Logan Airport ticket.
Important: Do Not Use the Old Workaround
The previous TMP process involved collecting the fare difference through a Paid In transaction labeled "Upgrade" and overriding the South Station ticket to allow the passenger to board for Logan.
This workaround is no longer necessary in MMC. Always correct the actual ticket using the steps above so the transaction is properly recorded and reconciled for Finance.
If an issue prevents you from completing the correction in MMC, contact the appropriate support team rather than creating another workaround.

Note About the Training Video: The credit card reader error shown at the end occurred because the demonstration was performed on a laptop that was not connected to a card reader. This is not part of the normal ticket correction process.
