How to Complete the Electronic Daily Drawer Log
The Electronic Daily Drawer Log replaces the paper drawer logs with a shared electronic log. The cash-in and cash-out process remains the same, but documentation and calculations are now handled electronically.
Accessing the Log
The log is available in Firefox on terminal computers and is configured to open automatically when Firefox launches.
- The log defaults to the terminal you are working in.
- You do not need to navigate to a specific terminal tab.
- Cash-in and cash-out calculations are completed automatically.
- Open the Electronic Daily Drawer Log
When to Complete Cash In and Cash Out
At the beginning of your shift:
- Sign in to your workstation.
- Complete your cash-in entry immediately after signing in and before processing transactions.
At the end of your shift:
- Complete your cash-out entry before turning over the drawer or leaving for the day.
If you forget to complete your cash in, enter it as soon as you remember.
Handling Cash Variances
If you identify a cash variance:
- Continue following the existing variance procedure.
- Document relevant details in the variance notes section of the log.
- Notify management as needed.
If Google Is Unavailable
If Google is unavailable, continue using the paper cash sheets. Enter the information into the electronic log later if needed.
Monthly Archiving
Logs are archived monthly to keep the shared document organized and easy to use.
